NYClassifieds hosts the classifieds listing for the New York area, concentrating on four main listing types :

1. Employment 2. Real estate 3. Services 4. Used goods

Each of the categories has both the listings imported from third-party source as well as the listings created directly via the web interface by registered users. Also, each category features the unique set of filters and search criteria, as well as the custom attributes which belong to a particular category. And also this Sharetribe based project has built-in support of Google Adwords.

Our job was to deeply customize Sharetribe engine, to introduce the import scripts which collect data on regular basis using both third-party service APIs, scraping data directly from web interfaces and to utilize the aggregating services which allow making scraping more organized and less error-prone. Also, we implemented smart new job notification techniques, which allow the subscribers not only search the listings based on their terms but also to order the updates to their emails when new listings satisfying user search terms appear online.
